What I Do
My achievements have been in the successful delivery of a number of large projects as the lead consultant in Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as well as contributions to many other projects in other parts of the world, including Kenya, Ethiopia, Swaziland, Afghanistan, Mexico, Belarus, Uzbekistan, amongst others.
In academia, I have been course leader for "distance" MEd programmes in Hungary and Mexico as well as trainer-training on other MEd courses, post grad certificates and undergraduate degree courses. I have presided over academic course validation and acceditation procedures as well as acted as external examiner to academic programmes.
I have initiated and delivered educational management programmes as well as undertaken many short consultancies for methodology courses in a number of countries. I also have experience in evaluation and monitoring consultancies - both academic and professional.. This has included specialisation in quality assurance in education.
All this expertise is underpinned by strong facilitation skills.

What I Believe
I favour an inclusive, consultative methodology which encourages reflective professional practices. Furthermore, I encourage attention to process as well as product in the belief that a) what is done and what is seen to be done are equally important in stakeholder-managed projects, and b) only through attention to process can insights be had which inform on personal growth as well as organisational development.
I am further committed to a hands-on practical workshop approach, with group work, problem solving simulations, role-plays and a variety of alternatives to the “lecture mode”. In staff development, I favour a holistic view of development which encompasses affective factors as well as professional competencies and knowledge
